This my 8th post for the Harry Potter 30 day Challenge. I have been posting everyday for a week! It’s quite an achievement for me, you know 🙂
So the question for today is: What is your favourite lesson from the series?
Harry Potter has taught me so much, I don’t have one favourite lesson. So I am going to quote some of my favourite lessons from the series because they are so beautifully written that they need no further explanation. Here goes then, in no particular order….
It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.
Thoughts can leave deeper scarring than almost anything else.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.
The thing about growing up with Fred and George is that you sort of start thinking anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.
What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.
We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.
Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps its brain.
Every human life is worth the same, and worth saving.
It is our choices that show us who we truly are, far more than our abilities.
– Albus Dumbledore
Don’t pity the dead…pity the living, and above all, those who live without love.
And most importantly,
Don’t let the muggles get you down!
I have missed quite a few (it’s so difficult to choose!), there is so much more the series has given me. Thankfully there is a question on that later (day 30 if I’m not mistaken). We’ll get there soon enough 🙂
P.S. The title is a quote by JK Rowling (ofcourse!)
